Cookies Policy

76engage stores cookies on users’ computers in order to make the experience of using the site friendlier to these users. 76engage does not, however, store or collect information from users for advertising or any other commercial purposes. Below is a description of the two common cookies used by 76engage and for which cookies are stored:

  • Google Analytics. 76engage uses Google Analytics to provide some of its reports. Google Analytics stores cookies in order to determine that two distinct hits belong to the same user. The _gat cookie is used to limit the number of requests that have to be made to doubleclick.net in order to enable demographics and interests reporting in Google Analytics.
  • Cloudflare cookies. 76engage uses Cloudflare to provide DDoS protection and improve the overall speed of the application by leveraging a Content Delivery Network. The __cfduid cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis.
  • System cookies.

    • The [S]SESS* cookies help 76engage maintain an open session for a logged in user.

    • The has_js cookie helps some of the backend functions verify whether the user’s browser supports JavaScript, a language required for the proper functioning of the application.

    • The webform-[id] cookie helps prevent the same user from repeatedly submitting input. A user is identified by their user login if logged-in, or by their cookie if anonymous.

76engage also stores users’ IP addresses in order to comply with the reporting requirements of our clients. Access to IP addresses gives us the ability to perform intrusion detection analysis to ensure the safety of our users. In the event of a denial of service attack IP address information will be used to mitigate the attack in order to maintain service levels.
